Described by Greta as “sassy and outgoing,” Meira enjoyed being around other dogs and people, but there was one thing she absolutely hated: being separated from her human mom. To help Meira express herself, Greta bought her 12 talking buttons, one of which Meira enthusiastically uses to “spam” the word “mom” whenever Greta is away.
Their bond has only grown stronger with time. Meira loves daily walks, playing with toys (though she has a habit of picking them apart), and spending as much time as possible with Greta. Together, they’ve formed a relationship built on trust, joy, and love.
Greta’s love for Meira is profound, as she shared: “I love her more than words can describe, and we are just so thankful she is in our life.” Their story is a reminder that the connection between a dog and their human can change lives in the most beautiful ways—both for the dog who has been saved and the person lucky enough to call them family.
